brian flores has more from the reaction of the victims of the frightening crime. good afternoon, brian. >> reporter: good afternoon, tori. we talked to the victims earlier this morning who tell us they are doing fine but obviously shaken up after three robbers barged into their home and tied them up and stole their belongings. the family members did not want to be on camera but we spoke to a father who lives at the home and tells us that a robbery happened at 2:00 a.m. and he was watching tv while his wife was getting ready for work when all of a sudden three robbers forcibly entered their home. according to san francisco police, one of the robbers appeared to have enter nod a side window and -- entered into a side window and opened the door for the other two to enter. once they got in, they pulled out guns and used electrical or duct tape to tie down the residents of the home, the father, his wife, two adult aged kids and a grandmother while they ransacked it. it is unclear if the window was unlocked or forced it open but san francisco police spent most of this m

ktvu channel 2 reporter brian flores joins us from pleasanton where two of the four robberies happened. brian. >> reporter: the main question is whether all these pharmacy robberies are related. we are live here though in front of a rite aid off the 2800 block here in pleasanton. this particular location was robbed around 12:30 yesterday afternoon. but there were also pharmacy robberies at a lucky pharmacy location not too far from here around 6:15 last night. there was a third attempted robbery that may or may not be related that happened a the the 7400 block of dublin boulevard in dublin around 12:40 yesterday. and now we are hearing there was a fourth attempted robbery at a cvs around 5:30 yesterday. a man or men walked up to the pharmacist with a demand note stating he had a gun and wanted some type of opiate based narcotics. when the pharmacist said no the man fled on foot. who police are looking for this morning is either a white or middle eastern man with a beard in his mid 30s around 5'3" and 150 pounds. and another man 5'7" and 200 pounds. we are live in pleasanton i'm brian f

brian flores is in san francisco's castro district with what we might hear from the justices today. brian. >> reporter: yeah. that is an operative word there might. we are not sure how the justices will rule this morning. we are anticipating some type of action on proposition 8 which is the states ruling on gay marriage. now this is a similar situation to what we saw on monday this week where the justices met behind closed doors to decide whether or not to take the case. but let's lay out what could happen this morning and this afternoon. the first is that the justices could completely refuse to review the lower courts ruling that essentially states that prop 8 is illegal. this is a key if that is the case, then gay pup couples could legal -- gay couples could legally marry next week. the justices could decide to hear the case if that happens a ruling on prop 8 could come by june and a third situation which is similar to what happened on monday what we may be anticipating today the justices would put any action on hold until further notice. they are not required to provide any reaso
